For those of you seeking an authentic Italian pizza this is one of the best you will find in the US. I have been in the best pizza places of Chicago and the Midwest. This one ranks among the best, and the priceless are comparable to the best in the Midwest. The calzone was fantastic as well as the pizza. We will be back.
We ordered take out, very friendly staff we live 45 minutes away the food was still really good after the drive. Very accommodating to our requests as far as changes went for example I ordered a Calzone with light ricotta because I love them but the Ricotta can be overwhelming and it was perfect. Prices are higher but you are paying for great food and service not something your going to get at Domino's or papa John's, any chain can't compete.
Ordered 10 sweet wings and French fries. $9+$3=$12 + tax so $12x$1.08=$12.96 but I was charged $14.85. It’s not much higher but definitely wasn’t a mistake as I always end up charged way more than I should be and there are no listed fees on the menu or inside the restaurant itself especially for nothing to be substituted or switched in my order. That’s $1.89 more than what I should have been charged and it’s always happened. It used to be $2.16 more on the bill glad it’s gone down.
The waitress did tell us each topping would be +$3 on the pizza.
We had a group of 8, decided to order the 24-slice sheet pizza and 40 wing combo ($58.99.) Also ordered an app. When we asked how many sauces we were allowed to split the wings into, we were told 2. Nothing more was said. We were offered sauces--no prices mentioned or listed.
The food was tasty! The wing sauces are not super hot, so if you are wavering between heat levels, go up. The sheet pizza had a thick, soft crust and the toppings were good. We were served our food pretty quickly. Staff were friendly.
Final bill: We were charged $3 to split the wings--that should be mentioned if it is implied that you are welcomed to split sauces. Also, $1/sauce. Would have been better received if communicated up front.
This pizzeria looks pretty modern. The owners put a lot of time into how the restaurant looks. Great decor, plates, and flatware. The food is actually pretty good. The downside to this place would be the prices. The price doesnt match the quality of the food or the quantity. Ive had pizza of the same quality for 1 dollar a slice. At this location, it was about 2 or 2.50 a slice. 1 free refill on fountain soda. It seems like the prices got inflated to make up for all the decorating. If i wanted to pay as much but for better pizza, id go to Goodfellas in Sackets Harbor. If the prices went down, id give it another star.
