We love this place. Marian and Joe ate amazing hosts! Such a laid back atmosphere, it would be hard to gind anywhere more relaxing.
Hospitality second to none at this lovely Inn on Stillwater Reservoir. Well worth the extra drive to experience paradise in the Adirondacks. The owners Marion and Joe are warm and gracious and fun to spend time with. Having been owner/operators for well over 30 years they are extremely knowledgeable with the history of the area, and gladly help patrons and passers by with all sorts of questions about where, when, and how to best experience the area. Their love of this slice of heaven shines through and speaking of slices, the homemade deserts are to die for! The menu was impressive and delicious, something for everyone. The accommodations were nice, simple and cozy for a good night's sleep.
Nice place off the beaten track, worth the experience. Food is ok, the owners are warm and friendly. Always accommodating and nice to be with. The hummingbirds are special guests of the inn. On a quiet night would can have them land on your finger and feed great experience. A must go place that should be on your list of places to visit in the Adirondacks.
After climbing Stillwater Mountain and the Firetower, we stopped at the Stillwater Hotel for lunch. Just imagine sitting out on the deck looking out over Stillwater Reservoir with all of the beautiful fall colors on a perfect autumn day. It doesn't get better then this! Plus, the food is amazing! It boggles the mind that you can drive back into the middle of nowhere and have food like they serve there. Marion has owned and run the Hotel for more years then I can remember. She's the heart and soul of the place. Go - you won't regret it!
